“I’ve really come to appreciate why Fordham’s culture encourages students to take personal responsibility for seeking out opportunities that can ultimately lead to their own success. It creates a certain kind of person, one who will exhibit those same qualities in the workplace, bringing real value to his or her employer.”

Graduates with Experience

Fordham has a distinct advantage over most business schools in that we are located at Lincoln Center—in the heart of New York City. We are surrounded by many of America’s most successful companies—organizations that are succeeding by taking risks, bringing new products and services to market and applying the latest business principles on a global scale.

Our graduates learn that there is no better way for MBA students to “test” their classroom experience than against the reality of the marketplace. We’ve found that this field experience has a significant impact on the employment prospects and advancement potential of our students after graduation.

Fordham is also fortunate to have a significant number of part-time MBA students who add depth to our educational environment. These seasoned managers bring a wealth of information and experience to the classroom.

Values-Based Environment

When you meet a graduate of our MBA program, you can sense they are the product of a unique “values-based education.”  They communicate personal character, an appreciation for the importance of lifelong learning and an understanding of the important role that ethics and corporate responsibility play in today’s complex and challenging world of international business.

Our students are earnest, well-trained, highly committed people who are able to make significant, immediate contributions to any employer.  We often hear this from the companies that employ them.

Demand in the Marketplace

Ultimately, the marketplace determines whether MBAs of the Fordham Graduate School of Business are bringing value to today’s employers.  A steady increase in salary trends, nearly 170 companies hiring or recruiting Fordham MBAs on an annual basis, and a growing number of “success stories” like those presented on these pages provide strong evidence that hiring a graduate of our school will prove a good human resource investment.

“One of Fordham’s advantages is that it’s a good program in that it attracts a lot of individuals who are already successful in their careers. This creates a culture of learning at the school that focuses on real business problems.”
