The MBA in Taxation and Accounting

Sample Program of Study for MBA in Taxation and Accounting (MTA)

The MBA in Taxation and Accounting is an intensive program that cultivates broadly educated executives with leadership and problem-solving skills. This program is ideal for students who intend to be professional accountants and for those who wish to become experts in taxation.

The MBA in Taxation and Accounting Program concentrates on three types of courses: financial accounting, which provides understanding of accounting standards and develops skills in financial statement preparation and analysis; managerial accounting, focusing on the accounting data needed by management for cost control; and taxation and business law courses, exploring the sources and development of government regulations and their impact on management and decision-making.

The MTA is intended to meet the exceptional demand from accounting firms, financial institutions and multinational corporations for tax professionals with upper-management potential.

It is designed for students either with or without business backgrounds. Students find that the program provides excellent preparation for the CPA examination.
