The Transnational MBA (TMBA) is designed for advanced professionals and managers who currently hold, or will be assigned to, challenging international responsibilities that make heavy use of technology.
One weekend per month, students and faculty meet at a first-class executive retreat located near New York City for intensive course work. The TMBA's structure also allows for teams to work together outside the classroom using information technology (Internet, e-mail, CD-ROM and other technologies).
The TMBA program fosters a "global mindset" that allows students to successfully manage and conduct business with people and companies in other cultures and countries.
Appropriately, an innovation in the program calls for some class meetings to take place at various international sites where business is operating at the cutting edge, e.g., a weekend near Tokyo at a robotics factory or a meeting in Washington, D.C., with key officials involved in shaping U.S. trade policy.
We believe this executive-style MBA program is a model for how technology and innovative educational approaches can be combined to provide new learning opportunities that are keeping pace with global business.
