Deming Scholars MBA Program

Another Fordham MBA program that has attracted much attention nationally and internationally is The Deming Scholars MBA Program. This program was named in honor of Dr. W. Edward Deming, who provided the business management principles which form the foundation of the "quality management" revolution that we recognize today. Fordham's Graduate School of Business had a very close relationship with Dr. Deming. Before his death in 1993, he served as senior advisor to this program. Further, he met with each student who was enrolled in the program's first class. His spirit lives on through the program's director, Dr. Joyce Orsini, and the teacher/advisors Dr. Deming personally recommended.

This 18-month, full-time program allows Deming Scholars to learn in a group, alternating eight-week sessions of classroom lectures and study with seven-week internships at participating companies. The internships give students in-depth business management experience while their skills also develop through coursework.
