Professor Jaak Jurison    Professor Jaak Jurison
Students leave Professor Jurison's classes knowing how to manage international information systems projects. And even years later when alumni meet him on the streets of New York or during his travels, they are happy to share their successes with him.

Professor Jurison managed subcontractors from all over the globe to help design and build a mission-critical information system for the Royal Australian Air Force. He enjoys sharing his hands-on experience with students in the individual and team projects he assigns to develop their project management skills.

"These skills prepare my students to become leaders in developing information systems anywhere in the world. At Fordham, we emphasize the management skills needed to integrate information technology with business operations. It is necessary to know the limits and capabilities of information systems and, more importantly, how to go out and make these systems work in an organization."

Professor Jurison has published many papers on managing information technology. He holds a Ph.D. and an MBA from The Drucker Graduate Management School in Claremont, California, and a BS and MS in electrical engineering from Worcester Polytechnic Institute and Columbia University, respectively. He worked at the senior management level for Rockwell International before joining Fordham's faculty.
