Foreign applicants, who reside abroad and are going to be in need of an F-1 Student Visa are highly encouraged to submit their completed applications as early as possible. All materials should be submitted at least two months prior to the published deadlines, allowing adequate time for the evaluation of credentials, preparation of the Certificate of Eligibility (I-20) and processing of the visa.

All application materials (university records, bank statements, letters of recommendation, etc.) that are not in English should be accompanied by a certified translation. Full-time students who will require an F-1 Student Visa or J1 Exchange Visitor Visa must submit a notarized Affidavit of Support accompanied by original documentation that supports the information on the affidavit. Supporting documentation includes personal bank statements, sponsorships or financial awards. It is imperative that all documentation be in its original format. Copies and facsimiles can not be accepted.
