Below are examples of some of the extraordinary executive guest lecturers who have recently spoken at Fordham Graduate School of Business.

Dr. J-Robert Ouimet, Holding O.C.B. Inc. & Ouimet-Tomasso Inc.
Author of How Spirituality in Management Reconciles Human Well-Being, Productivity, Profits—35 Years Experimentation!, Dr. J-Robert Ouimet discussed how his companies have been bringing spiritual principles and practices to the workplace for 35 years. He is chairman of the board and CEO of Holding O.C.B. Inc. & Ouimet-Tomasso Inc. in Montreal, Canada. Dr. Ouimet earned an MBA from Columbia University and a Ph. D. from the University of Fribourg.

Joel Ross, Ross Worldwide
Joel Ross is an expert in marketing and president of Ross Worldwide, a privately owned franchise that thrives on the rapidly growing e-commerce market. Ross Worldwide markets products and services for several widely known companies, as well as its own brands of exclusive products and services. In the past five years Ross Worldwide has helped hundreds of individuals get into business and in doing so has—and continues to—establish a strong franchise network. Ross also spoke on the new trends that will take business ownership to an unprecedented level.

Jeff Gilbert and Gary Ross, Lehman Brothers
Jeff Gilbert, managing director and global head of credit risk management at Lehman Brothers, and Gary Ross, Fordham alumni (‘98) and credit risk analyst for Lehman Brothers, spoke on the evolution of the components of risk management, including counterparty credit risk, market risk, quantitative risk and operational risk. They also discussed the skills sets needed to become a credit risk analyst.

Kisha Reid, Swarovski North America
Kisha Reid, marketing events manager for Swarovski North America, spoke to students about her career in marketing for the top crystal jewelry and giftware company. She also discussed challenges that women face in globally run organizations.

Sander A. Flaum and Jonathan A. Flaum, Writemind Communications
Sander A. Flaum, CEO of Flaum Partners and chairman of the Fordham Leadership Forum, and Jonathan A. Flaum, CEO of Writemind Communications, discussed the leadership concepts discussed in their book, The 100-Mile Walk.

Chris Heintz, Perennial Investors, LLC and MassMedium, Inc.
Chris Heintz, founder of Perennial Investors, LLC and MassMedium, Inc., discussed the secrets behind starting business ventures. He addressed the most common entrepreneurial mistakes and presented criteria for determining if one is ready to make the transition from corporate- to self-employment.

Sanjay Sanghoee, author of Merger
Sanjay Sanghoee, author of Merger and former investment banker with Lazard Freres and Wasserstein, discussed his book, an international thriller about white-collar crime, and his personal experience with corporate ethics. In the mid-90s, Sanghoee worked with a spin-off of Kroll Associates, where he was involved in all facets of corporate investigative work, including liaising with ex-law enforcement officers to conduct due diligence on business transactions. Currently, Sanghoee is at Ramius Capital Group, an $8 billion hedge fund; he is also working on his second novel and developing an original television drama about corporate crime.

Madan Birla, author of FedEx Delivers
Madan Birla, author of the best-selling book FedEx Delivers, discussed his book and shared insights into the culture and leadership practices that have made FedEx a global powerhouse. Birla spent 22 years at FedEx, where he was managing director of system form engineering and materials and resource planning, before being named managing director and preceptor in the company’s Leadership Institute, where he worked closely with CEO Fred Smith and the senior management team in evaluating strategic what-ifs.

James McGregor, author of One Billion Customers
James McGregor, author of One Billion Customers and former Wall Street Journal bureau chief, discussed his book and provided lessons from the front lines of doing business in China.
