Prof. Evangelos (Evan) Katsamakas

 

 

 

 

 

Evan Katsamakas is Associate Professor of Information Systems at Fordham University, Schools of Business in NYC. He holds a PhD degree from the Stern School of Business, New York University, an MSc from the London School of Economics, and a Computer Science & Engineering degree from the University of Patras, Greece.

Research

Updates

Prof Katsamakas has several active research projects on the business impact of open source software & the economic and strategic impact of information technology (IT) and the Internet.

His research has been published in major academic journals, including Management Science, Journal of Management Information Systems, System Dynamics Review, Information Resources Management Journal, International Journal of Medical Informatics and in the book Economics of Open Source Software Development, Elsevier Press. 

Prof Katsamakas' research was presented at the Workshop on Information Systems and Economics (WISE), the Toulouse conference on the Economics of Two-sided Markets, the Hawaiian International Conference on Systems Sciences, the Workshop on eBusiness (WeB), the IEEE International Conference on Software Engineering, the International Conference of the System Dynamics Society and other major international scholarly conferences. more information
