Fordham’s MSQF program is primarily meant for students who want to prepare themselves for a career in quantitative applications of advanced finance theory and models. The prospective students should have an undergraduate degree in a quantitative discipline, such as mathematics, physics, engineering, or economics and who can otherwise demonstrate the required proficiency in mathematics. Students with a business major should have taken two years of college mathematics in order to be eligible for this program. Prior training in basic economics, financial accounting, probability and statistics, and introductory finance is desirable, but not essential.
