Scot Perlin brings more than 30 years of experience and expertise in investment management, financial management and global treasury as a senior executive and consultant. Scot was Chief Financial Officer and a member of the Board of Directors of Winfield Capital Corp., a publicly held small business investment company that makes loans and equity investments pursuant to funding programs sponsored by the U.S. Small Business Administration. In addition to identifying, structuring and negotiating debt and equity investments for the company, he was responsible for all aspects of reporting and compliance. In addition to his responsibilities at Winfield and other companies, for the past 19 years Scot has shared his hands-on experience teaching and mentoring graduate and undergraduate business students as an Adjunct Professor of Finance at Fordham University’s, New York University’s Stern and Baruch College / CUNY's Graduate Schools of Business Administration. He has also taught in both NYU Stern School’s and Columbia University’s Executive MBA programs. Prior to joining Winfield, Scot was Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of Meridien Corporation, where he directed the foreign exchange and money market activities of the London dealing room, provided supervision of budgeting and accounting statement consolidations and chaired the New York Management Committee. Previously, Scot spent five years as an independent consultant, advising and working with senior managements at a number of financial institutions and corporations on a range of treasury, financial management and business planning initiatives. Before setting up his consulting business, Scot was a Senior Vice President at Yamaichi International (America) where he built and headed both the firm’s Capital Markets Arbitrage and Securities Lending Departments. His responsibilities included proprietary and client discretionary portfolios, global securities lending and dividend capture programs. Scot spent nearly 10 years with American International Group (“AIG”) in a number of senior management positions, including Senior Vice President and Chief Investment Officer for American International Underwriters (an AIG subsidiary), Treasurer of AIG Capital Corp. and Assistant Treasurer of the parent company. As Assistant Treasurer, Scot led a team that managed AIG’s money market portfolios, short-term debt issuance, interest rate/currency hedging and proprietary trading activities. |
