Professor Gonzalez joined the Fordham faculty as a full-time Assistant Professor of Finance and Economics after completing her Ph.D. in finance at University of Florida. Previously, she earned simultaneously an MBA in finance and an MA in Foreign Languages & Literatures - English, French & Spanish - at S. Illinois University, where she was finance intern at the University Foundation. Professor Gonzalez also holds simultaneous BS in Electrical Engineering and BAs in Music Performance and Education - Piano - from Bilbao, Spain.

Professor Gonzalez has received distinctions and awards for teaching and research presented at the Federal Reserves of New York and Chicago, among other national and international institutions and conferences. Teaching experience includes financial institutions, case-oriented corporate finance and venture capital, investments and international finance at the graduate and undergraduate level. Professional experience as engineer includes collaboration with Telefonica SA, the leading telecommunications operator in the Spanish and Portuguese-speaking markets.
