Professor Blake has been a manuscript editor for the Journal of Finance and a manager at Time-Life Books. Since then, he has had an active consulting career with companies such as: Orange & Rockland Utilities, Inc.; The Government of Saudi Arabia; John Wiley & Sons, Inc.; Capital Management Associates, Inc.; The Nassau Group, Inc.; The Society of Actuaries.
