Dr. Patricia A. Williams is an associate professor of accounting at Fordham University. She received her doctorate in accounting from Boston University, an M.B.A. from Southern Methodist University, and a M.A. degree from Middlebury College. At Fordham since 1992, she teaches financial and managerial accounting courses at the undergraduate, graduate and executive levels. She has also taught in the Fordham M.B.A. program in Beijing, China. She has received awards and recognition for her teaching. Dr. Williams has published numerous articles in peer-reviewed academic journals, including The Accounting Review, The International Journal of Accounting, Accounting Horizons, and The Journal of Investing as well as book reviews, chapters in books, and a commissioned portfolio on pension accounting. She has presented papers to academics and financial analysts at conferences in the U.S., Canada, Europe and Asia. Dr. Williams has also conducted executive training programs and seminars for various Wall Street firms, including Merrill Lynch and Crédit Lyonnais. Prior to academia, she worked in commercial banking as an asset-based lender in the oil and gas industry. |
