Biography

Edward Dennehy is a tax partner in KPMG’s New York office, specializing in federal tax services. Ed has been a partner since 1992 and has over 28 years of professional experience. The tax areas in which Ed has worked include, tax accounting, taxation of financial products, e-Tax solutions, IRS and New York State and City tax controversies, state and local tax issues, leasing, mergers and acquisition transactions, bankruptcy workouts, and structuring inbound and outbound investments.

Relevant Experience
Ed’s clients have included Cablevision System Corp., BTM Capital, General Electric Credit Corporation, Phillips Holding USA Inc., The EniChem Group, Henry Schein, Inc., Siemens Financial Services, Inc. and Panasonic Corporation of America, among others.

Background
Ed received his B.B.A. magna cum laude from Pace University and an M.B.A. from Pace University. He received his J.D. from Brooklyn Law School and was an international business law fellow. Ed also received an L.L.M. in Taxation from New York University. He is a CPA in the State of New York and a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the New York State Society of Certified Public Accountants. He served as a member of the International Tax Committee of the New York State Society. He is an attorney and a member of the American, NY, and NJ bar associations.

Along with speaking at various financial and tax industry events, Ed has also published numerous articles in tax in publications such as State Tax Notes, Tax Notes Today, Tax Notes International and International Tax Law Review.
