Biography

Professor Mazza teaches graduate and undergraduate financial accounting courses. She also holds a Board of Director position at a New York bank. Prior to joining Fordham, Professor Mazza was a project manager at the Financial Accounting Standards Board. She also has experience in public accounting.

Professor Mazza has published articles in accademic and professional journals including The Accounting Review, Accounting Horizons, Journal of Accountancy, the CPA Journal, and the Financial Analyst’s Journal. Her most recent work employs behavioral research methodologies to address the earnings management implications of comprehensive income reporting and the relevance, reliability, and earnings management implications of fair value accounting for nonfinancial assets and liabilities.
