Dr. Porco is a licensed Certified Public Accountant in New York whose experiences include positions as an Audit Supervisor and Senior Tax Manager in the Financial Service Group and as the Director of Personal Financial Planning at PricewaterhouseCoopers. She is presently a consultant and educator to an array of domestic and international banks, financial services organizations, hospitals, regulatory agencies and Big Four accounting firms. In 2006, Dr. Porco was appointed Master Professor and presently oversees the development and training of the Audit Intern Program for one of the world’s largest accounting firms. Dr. Porco is a member of American Institute of C.P.A.; American Accounting Association; New York State Societies of C.P.A.; Beta Alpha Psi; Beta Gamma Sigma; Phi Kappa Phi; and Kappa Delta Pi. She is the six-time recipient of Who's Who Among American Teachers in 1998, 2000, 2003, 2004, 2005 and 2006, a recipient of Teacher of the Year Award at Fordham University in 1996 and 1999; inducted into the Teacher Hall of Fame at Fordham University in 1999 and a recipient of the 2003 National Outstanding Faculty Award by Beta Alpha Psi – premier national honor society for accountants. Dr. Porco also serves as a member of the Board of Trustees for the National Association of Jesuit Business Education; The Economic Club of New York; a founding member of the KPMG Educators Advisory Board (KEAB) and a member of the Chairman’s Executive Committee for St. Barnabas and Union Hospital in New York City. |
