Cell Phone Recycling Drive
September 14 - September 24, 6th Floor, Lowenstein
GRC will pay Net Impact between $0.50 and $30.00 for each cell phone that is donated. The money raised will be used to fund Net Impact's November Book Club - details to come! Why should you recycle your old cell phone? Approximately 40% of recovered cell phones do not have a resale value, and their batteries will be processed according to EPA guidelines for the proper disposal and recycling of rechargeable batteries. East New York Farms is located in Brooklyn and supports its local community by growing food for the community, teaching agricultural and leadership skills to youth, and developing economic opportunity for regional farmers, local gardeners, and entrepreneurs by running a farmers' market. The farm tasks include: composting, planting, painting, beekeeping, bark mulching, weeding, cleaning-up, and more. RSVP fordhamni@gmail.com.
