Save the Date: Spring 2008 Tri - Campus Career & Internship Fair

Location: McGinley Center Ballroom, Rose Hill Campus
The Spring 2008 event will be located at the Rose Hill Campus in the Bronx, and will be open to students of all majors from Fordham’s three campuses: Rose Hill campus in the Bronx, Lincoln Center campus in Manhattan, and Marymount campus in Tarrytown, New York. This fair is open to all organizations that are recruiting for full-time, part-time, and internship opportunities for all majors. Registration for the fair will ONLY be accepted via our online registration, which opens Friday, November 30th. The registration deadline is Friday, January 25th, 2008.

The Field Study Consulting Program (FSP) provides MBA students an opportunity to work in teams to analyze real business problems and recommend appropriate actions for client organizations in the New York City greater metropolitan area. Information Session: MS in Quantitative Finance (MSQF)
Monday, 11/26/07, 6:30 - 8:00 PM
Do you have any friends or co-workers with strong quantitative skills who would like to learn how those skills can be applied to finance?  The new MSQF provides in-depth training in both the theory of finance and the application of mathematical techniques to solve financial problems.

Spring 2008 Registration is November 26th - January 8th
If you have earned the following number of credits (does not include the Fall 2007 term) your day of registration through OASIS is:

  • Monday, November 26 Earned 46+ credits
  • Tuesday, November 27 Earned 31 - 45 credits
  • Wednesday, November 28 Earned 16 - 30 credits
  • Thursday, November 29 Earned 0 - 15 credit
  • Friday, November 30 All students

Last Waiver exam for the Fall 2007 term is Saturday, December 1st.

My Professors

Hooman Estelami  
Estelami’s book titled Marketing Financial Services was published by Dog Ear Publishing, LLC. Russell S. Winer, Deputy Dean and Professor of Marketing at the Stern School of Business said “Estelami combines an excellent knowledge of marketing literature with a deep understanding of financial services. The combination is a very effective and contemporary book on marketing financial services.” Estelami was asked to be Guest Editor of the International Journal of Bank Marketing special issue on Emerging Views on Marketing Financial Services and co-hosted a conference at Fordham on the Marketing of Financial Services.

Estelami also co-wrote “The Negative Effect of Policy Restrictions on Consumers’ Post-Purchase Reactions to Price-Matching Guarantees,” with Dhruv Grewal and Anne Roggeveen, and it has been accepted by the Journal of the Academy of Marketing Science. As well, the Journal of Services Marketing has accepted “An Exploratory Study of the Predictive Relationship between Employee Turnover and Customer Satisfaction,”co-written with Robert F. Hurley.

Sertan Kabadayi  
Kabadayi co-authored “The Performance Implications of Designing Multiple Channels to Fit with Strategy and Environment” with Nermin Eyuboglu and Gloria P. Thomas. The research paper was included in Vol. 71 of the American Marketing Association’s Journal of Marketing.
