Randall Rothenberg will discuss how his diverse career in media has affected his leadership style and the affects of career shifts on his path to President & CEO. There will be time for questions and audience interaction throughout the talk. Prior to IAB, Rothenberg was Booz Allen Hamilton’s Senior Director, Intellectual Capital. Rothenberg also spent six years at The New York Times as an editor, columnist, and reporter. He is the author of "Where the Suckers Moon: An Advertising Story." Space will be limited. Graduate Assistant Position –
Westchester Campus

Dean Francis Petit is looking for a graduate assistant (300 hours) for the Spring term. The position requires that the student is at the Westchester campus on Mondays and Wednesdays during the day. They can take courses at Tarrytown in the evening. Additional independent projects are also required. Candidate for Degree Card
The on-line Candidate for Degree Card is ready. Students who are graduating May 2008 can click here to file the degree card by 2/1/08.

Loan Announcement
MBA and MS students registered for six or more credits and who are either a US citizen or Permanent Resident of the US are eligible to borrow $5000 per academic year. Interest on the loan (8%) does not accrue while a student is enrolled for six or more credits per trimester. Interest and principal payments begin after a 6-month grace period following graduation or if enrollment drops below the six-credit minimum (except during trimesters when a student is doing an internship). The application was emailed to you the week of January 7th. Please complete the form and return it to the Admissions Office at 33 West 60th Street, 4th floor, New York, NY 10023. The application deadline is Feb 19. Please contact the Admissions Office at (212)-636-6200 with questions.

National Society of Hispanic MBAs Scholarship Program
The National Society of Hispanic MBAs (NSHMBA) provides financial assistance to outstanding Hispanics pursuing an MBA. To be eligible, you must be: a U.S. Citizen or Legal Permanent Resident, of Hispanic heritage, a current NSHMBA member, and meet NSHMBA’s GPA requirements. This is not a Fordham-managed scholarship. Net Impact Worm Bin Workshop
Wednesday, January 16, 5:30PM – 8:30PM
Location: New York Botanical Gardens
Fordham Net Impact has partnered with the New York Botanical Garden to provide a FREE composting workshop for 10 MBA students. Participants will receive a copy of the book Worms Eat My Garbage and for $10, may purchase a voucher which entitles them to pick up a pound of red worms and a plastic worm bin ($45 value) at the Union Square GreenMarket. My Professors: Finance

Pam Moulton
A paper co-written by Moulton received the 2007 Best Paper in Market Microstructure award at Financial Management Association International (FMA)’s conference. The paper “Market Maker Inventories and Liqudity” was co-written by University of California Berkeley professors Terrence Hendershott and Mark Seasholes.

In addition, Molton’s paper "Liquidity: Considerations of a Portfolio Manager" has been accepted for publication by Financial Management. Her co-author was Laurie Simon Hodrick of Columbia University. Moulton was also invited to present at the University of Utah in April, the New York Stock Exchange in September and the Financial Management Association and the National Bureau of Economic Research in October. She will present at the American Finance Association in 2008.

An Yan
Yan will soon have two papers published in distinguished journals. "Using Innovative Securities under Asymmetric Information: Why do Some Firms Pay with Contingent Value Rights?", co-written with Sris Chatterjee, will be published in the Journal of Financial and Quantitative Analysis. "A Theory of Contractual Provisions in Leasing", co-authored with Thomas Chemmanur of Boston College and Yawen Jiao of Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, will be published in the Journal of Financial Intermediation.
