My Professor: Communications Class with Everette Dennis

Dr. Everette Dennis chairs our Communications & Media Management program at the business school. He is a media guru and a wonderful champion of alumni classroom involvement. Every year, his class “Media & Communication Industries” (CMGB 7500-001) is filled with a diverse mix of students who are exposed to the wisdom of MBA graduates who have been in the business world. This year, Dennis had an illustrious line up of professionals including David Lieberman from USA Today, Steven Levy from Newsweek, Sean Duggen from MySpace, Michael Joseloff from MTV and many more. These individuals, many of whom are alumni, gave wonderful talks on their organization, their industry focus, and what it means to work in media. Each talk was followed by extensive discussion on the topic that leaves the students well rounded in their knowledge of a unique industry.
