Amanda Allen, GBA ’10
Amanda Allen recently won the Pace University Pitch competition. She and her team won two top prizes, both of which will help launch her wedding gift registry, www.newlywish.com, which is dedicated to uniting New York City’s array of independent merchants and service providers with local engaged couples and gift givers.
Anthony Carfora, GBA ’82
Anthony Carfora has joined NYPPEX, a global secondary private market advisory, trading and research firm for illiquid assets. Carfora was with Credit Suisse for more than 20 years, where he developed a collateralized lending business in excess of $40 billion with banks and hedge funds.
Harriet Edelman, GBA ’80
Harriet Edelman was elected to the New York Blood Center Board of Trustees. She has more than 25 years of global operating experience and has been a director of public companies since 2001.
Damian Garbaccio, GBA ’99
Damian Garbaccio was hired as the newly formed position of vice president of business development at eXelate, an open marketplace for online targeting data. Previously, Garbaccio spent almost a decade in the online advertising space, recently focusing on behavioral targeting.
Robin Ginsburg, GBA ’92
Robin Ginsburg was hired as a senior member of the investment banking firm M.R. Beal & Company’s public finance department. The company specializes in municipal finance, corporate finance and equity execution. Her focus will be on housing and general infrastructure clients in New York state and around the country.
Colleen Jones, GBA ’88
Colleen Jones, a senior vice president, partner and portfolio manager at Klingenstein, Fields & Co., was recognized by Cambridge Who’s Who for demonstrating dedication, leadership and excellence in equity portfolio management.
W. “R.P.” Raghupathi, professor, information and communication systems, Fordham University
W “R.P.” Raghupathi and Fordham’s Department of Information and Communication Systems co-hosted an event with IBM, which was highlighted in The Wall Street Journal, The Earth Times, MSN Money, and a number of smaller websites and publications. IBM and the Graduate School of Business Administration are currently collaborating on a new business analytics curriculum to help prepare college students for careers in key industries such as energy and utilities, healthcare, education, transportation and public service.

John Shon, assistant professor, accounting and taxation, Fordham University
John Shon and his work were recently highlighted in a December issue of dailyfinance.com.
His research, “Are Earnings Surprises Interpreted More Optimistically on Sunny Days? Accounting Information and the Sunshine Effect,” was co-authored with Ping Zhouand, a vice president at Neuberger Berman.
Christian Wetherbee, GBA ’06
Christian Wetherbee joined FBR Capital Markets Corporation, a leading investment bank serving the middle market. He joined the diversified industrials group in New York as a vice president.
Gregory Williams, GBA ’09
Gregory Williams, the founder and vice president of analytics at MediaMath, married Christine Cronin this past December.
