Spotlight: Flaum Leadership Lectures For years, Sander Flaum, CEO of Flaum Partners, has been teaching a renowned course at Fordham University's Graduate School of Business Administration called the “Leadership Forum.” In 2007, Flaum approached Howard Tuckman, Ph.D., dean of the Graduate School of Business Administration, with the idea of launching a speaker series featuring prominent business leaders. Flaum knows a thing or two about leadership. Since 2004, he has headed up a consultancy firm focused on transformational thinking for the pharmaceutical and biotech industries. Prior to that, he was the chairman and CEO of Robert A. Becker, Euro RSCG and chairman of Euro RSCG Life. At Robert A. Becker, Flaum led a team that introduced and managed seven multi-billion dollar brands, including seven of the 10 largest pharma companies in the country. In 2002, Medical Advertising News named him their Man of the Year. Flaum believes that leading a company is a talent that professionals must cultivate and learn through experience. His speaker series provides a forum for students to meet business leaders who want to share their experiences with a new generation. The series launched in Fall 2007 with Randall Rothenberg, president and CEO of the Interactive Advertising Bureau (IAB) and acclaimed author of Where the Suckers Moon: An Advertising Story. In Spring 2008, Marianne Cooper, vice president, IBM Corporation adressed Graduate School of Business Administration students, alumni and faculty. In November 2008, we welcomed Manhattan Deputy Borough President Rose Pierre-Louis. For additional details, please e-mail us at gradbusiness@fordham.edu.
