SHOSHANA R. DOBROW
Assistant Professor of Management Systems

Dr. Dobrow earned her Ph.D. from Harvard University in Organizational Behavior, her A.M. from Harvard University in Social Psychology, and her A.B. from Harvard University in Biological Anthropology, summa cum laude and Phi Beta Kappa. Dr. Dobrow joined the Management Systems area of Fordham University's Graduate School of Business Administration as an Assistant Professor in 2006. Dr. Dobrow was a visiting scholar at Tel Aviv University's Recanati School of Business during a 2009-10 research sabbatical.

Dr. Dobrow’s award-winning research focuses on (1) callings—consuming, meaningful passions people can experience toward a domain—and (2) developmental networks—the set of people who take an active interest in and action toward advancing a protégé’s career through providing developmental assistance. She utilizes dynamic, relational, and/or career frameworks and methodologies to understand these phenomena. Dr. Dobrow has particular expertise in conducting multi-year longitudinal research.

Dr. Dobrow has taught management and organizational behavior courses for Fordham undergraduate and MBA students. She is also a professional bassoonist, and is currently a member of the Rhode Island Philharmonic. She has performed with numerous other orchestras in the Boston area and in New York, including on Broadway and at Carnegie Hall. Dr. Dobrow also appeared as a contestant on the TV trivia game shows Jeopardy and Cash Cab.
