    Student Mentor

Career success derives from many qualities: intelligence, confidence, professional experience, a respected degree, and perhaps most important, a strong network. With the idea of strengthening the Fordham Graduate School of Business network, many student clubs are launching mentoring programs. The immediate objective of each mentor/mentee relationship is to enhance a student’s career planning and aid in the student's professional development. The long term objective is to build a world wide network of alumni who are recognized in the business community as natural mentors – to their employees, co-workers and fellow alumni of Fordham.

Mentor responsibilities are minimal: make a one-year commitment to the program, complete a short form so that each mentor is paired with the appropriate student, meet in person with the student once each trimester, and speak to the student on the phone at least once a month.
