Fordham Business Challenge Awards over $200,000 in Scholarships

The Fordham Business Challenge has announced the winners of Master of Science tuition scholarships in four of GBA's new specialized Master's Degree programs.

The one-month competition ran during the month of May 2012. Students competed for scholarships to the Master of Science programs in Business Analytics, Business Enterprise, Marketing Intelligence and Media Entrepreneurship. Almost 400 students signed up to download the case challenges, and 17 finalists were selected on June 1. Faculty program directors and outside industry judges then scored the finalists to determine scholarship awards for each program.

First prize winners travelled to Fordham's Lincoln Center campus to receive their full tuition scholarship awards in person on June 14. The winners and their scholarship awards were:
  • Meghan Barquinero for the MS in Marketing Intelligence degree scholarship, valued at $50,360 plus an exclusive behind the scenes workshop at Food Network;
  • Andrew Adams for the MS Media Entrepreneurship degree scholarship, valued at $43,160;
  • Nyambura Mbugua for the MS in Business Enterprise degree scholarship, valued at $40,770; plus an internship at SONY Music Entertainment.
Additional scholarship winners were:

MS in Media Entrepreneurship:
  • Genevieve Cummings - $21,580 tuition scholarship
  • Evette Brown - $10,790 tuition scholarship
MS in Business Analytics:
  • Andrea Gallego - $8,990 tuition scholarship
MS in Business Enterprise:
  • Sydney Menees - $20,380 tuition scholarship
  • Miguel Melbourne - $10,190 tuition scholarship
