The Frank J. Petrilli Center for Research in International Finance

Daniel P. Fedeyko

• Currently an analyst in JPMorgan's Fixed Income Sales & Trading Program

• As a pioneering member of CRIF, Fedeyko laid the groundwork for CRIF's success by developing CRIF's website, creating a database of interested researchers, and aiding the development of CRIF research papers. His work led to the development of a cross-country data series for the CRIF and supported the development of CRIF working papers, such as Lothian and McCarthy's "The Behavior of Money and Other Economic Variables: Two Natural Experiments" and Lothian's "Institutions, Capital Flows, and Financial Integration."

• Fedeyko's contribution has led to a permanent program in which undergraduate students at the College of Business Administration will work with CRIF researchers. It is Fedeyko's vision that CRIF will one day not only be a dominant player in the research community, but also will be known for producing dedicated and talented undergraduate students who are prepared for top-tier PHD or investment banking programs.

• In addition to Fedeyko's initiatives within the center, he garnered several awards while at Fordham, including graduating valedictorian of his class with a perfect 4.0 grade point average. Moreover, he was named a Matteo Ricci Fellow, a finalist in the U.S. Student Fulbright Program to Italy, a nominee for the Rhodes Scholarship, and was awarded for his senior thesis, "Economic Freedom and Short-term Real Interest Rate Premia in Less Developed Countries," which has already been cited by professional researchers and was given the "best honors thesis" award as determined by Fordham's College of Business Administration. Fedeyko attributes much of his success at Fordham to the guidance of CRIF researchers and CRIF director, Dr. James R. Lothian, who acted both as Fedeyko's mentor and close friend during his time at Fordham.
